Kimuraya Saitama 埼玉 inks Kawagoe Saishiki Kura no machi no sentou 川越彩色 蔵の街の尖塔

Kimuraya, a stationery store along the Taisho dori street in Kawagoe, Saitama prefecture, has a unique ink made for it by Sailor. It is classified as “Saitama (埼玉) inks” and is named Kawagoe Saishiki Kura no machi no sentou (川越 彩色 蔵の街の尖塔). 彩色 Saishoku means colouring, colouration, 蔵の街の尖塔 Kura no machi no sentou means “the spire/steeple/pinnacle of warehouse city” (referencing the “kuratsukuri” warehouses in Kawagoe, and probably the tower spire of an old bank building, roof green in colour). The ink is sold in a square glass bottle of 50 ml, with several variants of the label (the building, calligraphy etc). It is only available in-store in Kimuraya. Kura no machi no sentou is an ink that goes down a bright tea green, and dries slightly more yellowish-brown green. It has good shading, some edging, but no sheen.
