Monarca Caribe Cenote

The blue with red sheen and silver shimmer is a total winner. This ink has it all. It lays down a gorgeous blue with just a hint of shading. I added two drops of water to the converter to kick the shading up a bit. There is a perfect deep red halo followed by bursts of shimmer (not clumps mind you, bursts). The shimmer is just enough to add some character. Use it respectfully with the appropriate nib (I have it in a bold italic), but it works well in an extra fine too. Not waterproof, but enough of a winner that I am willing to overlook that. Smooth lines, well behaved and doesn’t clog, this ink is fantastic.
